- Click the Memory tab
- Look at the Memory Pressure graph at the bottom

A green memory pressure graph is healthy. Yellow means the system is managing actively. Red means the Mac is swapping aggressively to its SSD, which both slows the machine and adds write cycles to the storage.

- Recovery time: Apple Silicon recovers from throttle in 30-60 seconds once the load drops; Intel MacBook Pros often stayed throttled for several minutes

The biggest Dubai-specific issue is not throttling during use but the laptop sitting in a closed bag in a car.
