The MacBook Air M5 (March 2026) kept the M4 chassis and display: 2560×1664 on the 13-inch, 2880×1864 on the 15-inch, 500 nits, True Tone and P3. The panel assembly carries an M5-specific part number, and the lid cable routing is identical to M4 - which means our M4 repair procedure applies directly and the learning curve is zero.
The first cracked M5 Air screens reached our workshop within weeks of the March 2026 launch - the 15-inch lid corners in particular. The thin lid offers little corner protection, and the glass-and-Liquid-Retina assembly is bonded, so any crack means a full panel replacement.

Pressure crack with no chassis damage
