M4 display facts
What makes the M4 Pro screen different
The M4 MacBook Pro is the first MacBook Pro with Thunderbolt 5, delivering up to 120Gbps bandwidth and support for up to 8K external displays. This connectivity upgrade makes the M4 Pro a significant step forward for video production and data transfer workflows common in Dubai's media sector. A screen repair preserves a machine built around this connectivity architecture.
The M4 Pro has a 12-core CPU, double the core count of the M3 Pro's 6 performance cores. Combined with up to 64GB unified memory, the M4 Pro handles tasks that would have required a Max chip in the previous generation. The display is the same Liquid Retina XDR panel technology, but the machine itself is a substantial performance upgrade.
The M4 MacBook Pro is 1-2 years old as of mid-2026, meaning it may still be within its Apple one-year warranty or an AppleCare+ plan. Before booking a screen repair with us, check your purchase date. If you bought after November 2024, contact Apple first as screen damage from manufacturing defects (not physical impact) may be covered.
Desert Titanium is a new colour introduced with the M4 MacBook Pro alongside Space Black and Silver. Like Space Black, the Desert Titanium chassis has a specific anodised finish. We use M4-specific display assemblies to ensure the bezel frame matches your machine's original finish after repair.
The M4 MacBook Pro uses revised internal cable routing compared to M3. Parts availability is building through 2025 and 2026 as the supply chain matures. Our standard turnaround for M4 screen repairs is 1-2 days. We confirm parts availability during the free diagnosis and give you a firm timeline before starting work.
Common issues
MacBook Pro M4 display faults we repair
Liquid Retina XDR backlight flickering on M4 Pro
Mini-LED local dimming zone failure causes visible pulsing or uneven brightness across the screen. Panel assembly replacement is required. Free diagnosis confirms the fault before any work is started.
Screen lines on M4 Pro display
Persistent horizontal or vertical lines on the M4 Pro screen indicate panel or display cable failure. We diagnose the specific fault before quoting.
No backlight on M4 MacBook Pro
Black screen with a faint image visible under torch light indicates a backlight circuit or cable issue. The M4 logic board is typically undamaged.
Cracked screen 14-inch M4 Pro
Physical impact or pressure damage to the 14-inch Liquid Retina XDR panel. Full assembly replacement required.
Cracked screen 16-inch M4 Max
Impact damage to the 16-inch panel. The larger assembly is stocked separately. Parts availability is confirmed during diagnosis.
Display colour issues on M4 Pro
Colour tint, banding, or loss of colour accuracy on the M4 Pro display indicates panel failure. Free diagnosis distinguishes hardware from macOS profile issues.

FAQ
MacBook Pro M4 screen repair — questions
M4 chip-specific answers before you book.
- MacBook Pro M4 screen repair at MacBook Repair Dubai is quoted per size in writing, all-in with panel, labour, and 3-month warranty. Diagnosis is free. Apple does not publish a Mac screen price (it inspects the Mac first), so we quote before any work and you can compare.
- M4 MacBook Pro screen repairs take 1-2 days. The M4 is a 2024 model and parts supply is still building through the supply chain. We confirm availability during the free diagnosis and give a firm timeline before starting.
- The M4 MacBook Pro launched in November 2024. If you purchased between November 2024 and November 2025, your machine is within Apple's one-year limited warranty. Screen damage from physical impact is not covered by the standard warranty, but manufacturing defects may be. Check your purchase date and contact Apple first for defect-related issues. We handle out-of-warranty repairs and physical damage.
- The panel itself is the same across all M4 colours. The bezel frame that surrounds the display uses the Desert Titanium anodised finish on Desert Titanium models. We use M4-specific assemblies that preserve the bezel colour matching your original machine.
- Yes. The M4 Pro and M4 Max are among the most powerful laptop chips available in 2025-2026. Set a screen repair against the cost of a new M4 MacBook Pro and repair is strongly cost-effective, particularly for a machine that is only 1-2 years old.
