Apple Repair Cost in Dubai (2026): What 991 Real Repairs Reveal

Most repair 'cost guides' are guesses. This one isn't — it's built from our own workshop ledger of 991 completed repairs (500 of them Apple) between 2023 and early 2026. Here are the real prices customers paid, the faults that actually come in, and the Macs that break most.

Apple Repair Cost in Dubai (2026): What 991 Real Repairs Reveal?

Quick answer

Across 500 real Apple repairs in Dubai (2023–2026), most MacBook screen repairs cost AED 1,050–1,400 (median ~1,140), batteries AED 400–675 (~490), and logic-board repairs AED 555–1,140 (~744). Screen, battery and logic-board faults make up 72% of all MacBook repairs. iPhone screens ran AED 500–1,600 and iPad screens AED 330–645, depending on model.

What this report is (and how we built it)

This is a first-party data study, not an industry estimate. We analysed 991 completed repairs from our Dubai workshop ledger between 2023 and early 2026, and isolated the 500 Apple-device repairs (MacBook, iPhone, iPad, iMac) to report what customers actually paid. Every figure below is the real selling price (with 5% VAT), aggregated and anonymised — no customer details, and no internal cost or margin data. Prices are rounded AED ranges; "most pay" is the middle half of jobs (25th–75th percentile), and "typical" is the median.

Why trust these numbers: they come from real invoices, not a price list written to win clicks. That also means they reflect the real mix of work — mostly higher-spec MacBook Pro panels rather than the cheapest possible Air screen, which is why the typical figures sit above a headline "from" price.

How much does it cost to repair a MacBook in Dubai?

Based on 409 MacBook repairs, here is what customers actually paid by repair type. The "most pay" column is the realistic band for that repair; the high end covers genuine Apple parts, multi-fault jobs, and the newest models.

MacBook repairMost pay (AED)TypicalSeen as high as
Screen / display1,050–1,4001,1403,670
Battery400–6754901,150
Keyboard / top case490–6305501,238
Logic board555–1,1407443,900
Water damage360–7604972,381
Data recovery480–6905441,240
SSD upgrade (2013–2017 models)370–630450
macOS reinstall / software210–360250833

The single biggest driver of price is the screen type: a Retina display assembly on a MacBook Pro is the most expensive common part, so screen jobs span the widest range. A free diagnostic gives you the exact figure before any work starts.

What breaks most? The most common MacBook repairs

Across 409 MacBook repairs, three faults accounted for nearly three-quarters of all work:

  • Screen / display — 44% (cracks, Flexgate lines, dead pixels, backlight)
  • Battery — 15% (swelling, fast drain, won't charge)
  • Logic board — 13% (no power, mostly after liquid damage)
  • macOS / software — 5% · Keyboard — 4% · Water damage — 2% · SSD upgrade — 2% · the rest under 2% each

The takeaway for owners: the two faults you're most likely to hit — a cracked screen or a tired battery — are also the two with the most predictable pricing.

Which MacBooks break most in Dubai?

By volume, the most-repaired models in our workshop were:

ModelApple model no.Repairs
MacBook Air (M1, 2020)A233754
MacBook Pro 13" (M1, 2020)A233854
MacBook Pro 13" (2016–2017)A170828
MacBook Air 13" (2015–2017)A146626
MacBook Air (M2, 2022)A268123
MacBook Pro 16" (2019)A214120

The M1 MacBook Air and M1 13" Pro top the list — unsurprising given how many shipped, and that both are now out of AppleCare for most owners. The 2016–2019 models still appear often too, usually for batteries and the Flexgate display-cable fault.

iPhone, iPad and iMac repair costs in Dubai

From the Apple repairs outside the MacBook line:

RepairMost pay (AED)Typical
iPhone screen (model-dependent)500–1,6001,333
iPhone battery250–360333
iPad screen330–645420
iMac screen515–2,4001,290
iMac SSD upgrade770–1,2301,020

iPhone screen prices vary the most of anything here — an older model with an LCD screen sits near the bottom of the range, while a current Pro Max with an OLED panel and genuine parts sits near the top. (iPhone, iPad and iMac samples are smaller than the MacBook set, so treat these as indicative.)

Is it worth repairing an old MacBook?

A useful rule from the data: if the repair is under roughly 30–40% of what the same model sells for used, it's almost always worth fixing. A battery (typically ~AED 490) or a single screen (~AED 1,140) on a Mac that still sells for AED 2,500–4,000 used is an easy yes. Where it gets marginal is a logic-board repair after liquid damage on an older model — those run AED 555–1,140+ and sometimes uncover a second fault. We quote the board separately and only proceed with your sign-off, so you're never committed before you know the number.

Why do repair prices vary so much?

Four things move the price, in order of impact:

  • Genuine vs high-quality aftermarket parts — genuine Apple assemblies cost more but carry the longest life.
  • Model and year — a 14"/16" Retina Pro panel costs multiples of an older Air screen.
  • Single vs multi-fault — liquid damage often needs board work and a battery or keyboard.
  • Part-dependent jobs — an SSD or RAM upgrade price mostly reflects the capacity you choose.

Frequently asked questions

  • Based on 409 real MacBook repairs (2023–2026), most fall in these bands: screen AED 1,050–1,400 (typical ~1,140), battery AED 400–675 (~490), keyboard/top-case AED 490–630, logic board AED 555–1,140 (~744), and macOS/software AED 210–360.
